On our production lines, custom stainless steel and carbon steel wire are the two most common material choices. This article will briefly introduce the differences between these two materials, their processing characteristics, and how to make the right selection.
About stainless steel
SS is widely used for its excellent corrosion resistance, effectively resisting moisture and oxidation, which reduces maintenance requirements. Its high resistance and stability, make sure there is minimal reactivity with contacted substances, render it particularly suitable for use in outdoor environment, the food processing and related sectors.
That’s why the most representative SS products in our production line include various models of cooling racks, grilling racks, and storage holders.

About carbon steel
CS is available in different grades. This kind of material offers superior mechanical properties. That means this material is modable into different structures, and remains stable, making it less likely to break. But to enhance its corrosion resistance, specialized surface treatments are necessary.
The representative carbon steel products in our production line, include various models of freezer shelves, 2-tier dish rack and another type of cooling rack.
We welcome discussions regarding specific surface treatments or alternative material requirements to accommodate particular project needs.

How to choose?
If a product prioritizes corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal, stainless steel is the optimal choice. It naturally possesses a lustrous silver finish that complements minimalist design environments. Conversely, if the product is intended for industrial applications or involves a cost-sensitive project, carbon steel could be a more suitable option.
These two distinct materials possess different physical properties, and therefore require different processing methods. However, we are equipped with a diverse range of machinery, including various CNC bending machines and specialized equipment. Enabling us to handle custom projects tailored to the specific material requirements of each application.
